What is Ohio Medicare Part A and B?

Ohio Medicare is a federal health insurance program for Ohio residents 65 years or older. To qualify you must be at least 65 years of age, a US citizen for five continuous years. There is also a supplemental program to cover the gaps that Medicare Parts A & B does not cover.

Medicare Part A pays for most of the services that hospitals provide. Thankfully, there is no monthly premium on Part A, it is funded by the taxes you and your employers have already paid. Medicare Part A covers for your room, nursing services, and your inpatient supply needs. Unfortunately, Part A won’t pay for all of you hospital costs. There is a deductible of $1,068.00 that must be paid in full before Medicare will pay for any hospital expenses. Also, if you are hospitalized for more than 60 days you will have to pay for a daily coinsurance fee. After 60 days you must pay $267.00 a day for day 61 through 90. After that it rises to $534.00 a day, the 91st through the 150th day. This can add up quickly if your stay exceeds 100 days.

Medicare Part B is optional and by enrolling in it you may qualify for supplemental insurance without having to answer any additional health questions. Part B covers any services that the doctors provide in the hospital or in their office. It also pays for outpatient services and any long term equipment you may need such as walkers, wheel chairs, etc. Like with most insurances Part B has a monthly premium (usually around $96 a month), which is also based on you monthly income. There is a $135.00 deductible that must be met in full. Once the deductible is paid Medicare generally pays for 80% of expenses, leaving you only to pay 20%.

Fortunately, there is a Medicare supplemental insurance, sometimes known as “Medi-Gap.” You do have to pay an additional monthly premium for it. The benefit is that almost all expenses not covered by Medicare Part A and B are covered by the supplemental plan or a Medicare advantage plan. A Medi-Gap plan can become very useful for assuring you receive proper treatment and you preserve you assets. It is designed to help cover these gaps so you don’t have to.

How to Handle Microsoft Outlook Synchronization Problems Effectively

Users who use Microsoft Outlook with Microsoft Exchange Server Information services find it extremely useful to work with Outlook in the offline mode. This saves them from worries of untimely network interruptions or slow connections to the Exchange server. Once they have finished working on the contents stored in their Offline Storage Folders (OST files), they can always use the synchronization feature to copy all the changes into the online folder and copy any new data or messages into the offline folder. Sometimes, however, there are problems during the synchronization process. Most of these problems can be quickly resolved and do not result in any serious loss of data. If there is any damage to the OST files, you may need to use a more sophisticated method to recover OST data.

For example, when you are using Outlook in an offline mode and are using the OST files, you might wish to delete certain folders. Suddenly you may be faced with an error message that says 'Outlook cannot delete this folder since there are items in it pending synchronization with the server'. This error message is actually due to a bug in the application itself that leads it to count the number of items in a folder, erroneously. As a result, there is a discrepancy in the number of items in the offline folder and that in the online folder. This causes problems during synchronization and can be resolved in the following manner. Simply right click on the folder that you are unable to delete and click 'Clear Offline Items'. This will force the particular folder to resynchronize and get the correct item count. You may also need to manually resynchronize other Outlook folders to recover OST data before you do this.

If you plan to use Outlook Offline Storage Files (OST files) while working with Microsoft Exchange server, it may be a good idea to confirm beforehand that your offline folders are synchronizing correctly.

·        Choose the folders that you want to verify are synchronizing properly. Now right click on each individual folder and go to Properties.

·        Click on the Synchronization tab. If you do not see any tab titled Synchronization, you have quite obviously not set up this Outlook profile to use offline folders or OST files.

·        When you click on the Synchronization tab, you will be taken to the option 'Statistics For This Folder'. Under this, you will be able to verify the settings for the following fields: Last Synchronized on: Date, Server folder contains: No. of Items, Offline folder contains: No. of Items. Obviously, if the number of items in the offline folder is the same as the one in the server folder, then synchronization is working fine.

Despite your best efforts, synchronization problems do cause serious damage to the OST files sometimes, rendering them inaccessible. To reliably recover OST data, you may need the help of specialized recovery tools such as Advanced Exchange Recovery from DataNumen. These tools will help you repair fairly large OST files and even repair batches of damaged OST files.
